In Solitude

In the solitude of my dark room,
the air is pregnant with indecision.
Worried by an impending doom,
of a heavily invested passion.

There is fear of choosing wrong,
yet answers come in too late.
The call within this body is strong,
to conquer a mild – correctable mistake.

With fourty days of darkened night,
never shall stay indecisive to speak.
The body of a true calling’s – sight,
the fortune sought on a mountain peak.

Each letter drafted to a precise word,
bade an insensitive wave goodbye.
A prayer sent to the forgiving Lord,
no pressure to reach the other side.

    I love the way you ended this:

    A prayer sent to the forgiving Lord,
    no pressure to reach the other side.

    A thoughtful, contemplative poem.

      Come again? You’re contemplating on priesthood? he he he…aprub na arpub ako diyan. Kaya lang….hmmmm. What about your buddies who are bent on continuing with the saga at spencers….lol….cheers . Contemplative poem. There is after all a wisp of spirituality in the good doctor.

      Sige na nga, not a wisp but a gargantuan spiritual awareness in your being. Way to go!

        Something is weighing heavily on your mind. I really like this piece Z. I think it’s something we can all relate to.

            @Holly,

            I didn’t want to keep myself in the dark, thus those lines were created. :) Prayer gets me through troubles, even how trivial they may be.

              @Jena,

              I like that gargantuan! I bet dragonblogger would have a great time using that word. he he he.

              Ah, err, not really. This is more for reflections. So, that I can see, rather use a different perspective. After all, religion plays a huge role in my beliefs.

                @Robin,

                Yeah! There are so many choices. Some are monumental and some are trifling, but they have to be made.

                Thank you!

                    Jen: That’s a fine leap you’ve made there: from wisp to gargantuan. lols.

                    Can I ask my good mentor Doc Z a question? Here goes: Please tell me why is that a post even the most ill-conceived ones can impregnate (yeah, I’m using that term. lols) my mind two dozen ways to respond while a small poem can leave me tongue-tied? Can you explain that, good mentor Z?

                        @Jan,

                        I usually leave my readers to give the interpretations and I may agree or not. he he he. Don’t want to ruin the mystery of each poem you know.

                              I was hesitant at first, then what the heck this is poetry and I wished for my readers to like it, fortunate for me, they did. At least three people who left a comment here. ehehe
