Brick Wall

You are -
a brick wall.
unhearing,
unfeeling,
and uncaring.
To the sadness,
of my voice.
You stared -
at my presence,
never loving.
Fortified -
with cold emotions.
No pleas,
no reasons -
just indifference.
Silenced
from my mourning.
Insensitive
and brutally cruel.
I desire
to break up the barrier
of what you call -
a heart.

Hmmm.. a lady who doesn’t love an admirer? Sounds a lot like me (in my earlier years).

Be careful what you wish for, Doc Z… Ahehehe
But here we are cauterizing the tumor – some call it heart – to make the body heal. With words for scalpel. And we somehow survive to live another day.
Thanks for small mercies. lols
Sounds like a hardened heart. I guess, tears could make it tender
@Gem,
I’m sure you broke a lot of hearts in your earlier years, perhaps even today. he he he.
Z
@Jan,
I doubt if the scalpel can heal this broken heart. It already had too many scars which left the heart functioning in a suboptimal level.
Z
Why does this sound familiar? You know, numb and unfeeling.
@Jena,
::shrugs shoulders::
I don’t know. he he he
Z
Alas…and this is immediately painful…!!!!
C,
Even the thought of it hurts.
Z
Well said Madz,
Is that from a personal experience?
Z
hmmm… a tough one, makes me wonder who can even resist the charm of the doctor of poetry
Roy,
There are still those who are strong and could easily resist the force.
Z
I love the image of the brick wall [your words, not the picture, although that is nice, too]. I can see one person standing there, cold and callous, unwavering, while the other tells them how terribly cruel they are for being that way. Do you think this is how wars are started? A man gets so irritated he has to blow up something? Just a thought.
Anne,
Thanks for the lovely comment. I do think that this wall, rather than start a war, it ends it. After all, that is the only tangible hindrance to see the people on the other side.
