Twisted and sick,
my insides cramped.
Bloated and weak,
body malaise – attacked.
Muscles tormented,
screamed and wrestled.
A whole day spent in bed,
tossing and turning.
Water and food were my friends,
waiting – recovering.
Listless from pain,
yet no other to blame.
As the sun sets silently,
so did my broken body.
This welcome sleep to renew,
for today’s journey flew.
My scent was left,
in my bed bereft.

I hope you feel better soon!
Even when sick you write great poetry
Sounds like you had one of those Mondays, too! Be well soon, Doc.
Get well soon. I know how difficult it is to treat yourself.
Were you lying down in bed when you wrote this?
Ah the discipline, the commitment – writing even when you’re sick. Very admirable, Z.
But pace yourself well. This is a marathon. Not a sprint.
Be kind to yourself more, okay?
this only shows that you’re still a mortal like us Z, so don’t push yourself too much… be kind to your guardian angel
is this because of the influenzabloggers flu? or the badminton last sunday? get well soon doki!
OH man I feel for you. I hate being sick, and there’s just not much you can do but take care of yourself.
I’m wondering though, I’ve always heard that doctors are the worst patients? What about you, are you following doctors orders? LOL.
“mommy call the doctor and the doctor said, No more monkeys jumping on the bed…”
keeps repeating in my head while Yz sings it. hehe. pagaling ka, doc! sakit sa likod pag bed ridden. hehe
Is it me or the comment box is really showing double avatars? The comment box is sick, too? lols
Jan,
There is a virus going around and sadly, even my avatar section got infected. ::sighs:: Anyway, I got two of my good friends working over time writing an antivirus software to kill the germs. Soon enough you wont see any avatars. Just blank pages. LOL
Z
Fehdz,
Yz is a wise kid. ehehe I'd listen to her for advise. BTW, sobrang sakit nung likod ko pero worth it naman ang magtutulog.
Z
Eric,
Whoever told you that was correct. hehehe. We are the worst kind of patients. In my case, i argued with myself whether to take my meds or not. LOL
I'm feeling a lot better now. Thanks!
Z
Novs,
I got the worse kind — the one you get after drinking from consecutive days then playing badminton the next day. Over fatigue and dehydration. ehehe
Z
Roy,
Yeah! A mortal extremist, okay so not quite one yet, but I am sure that I will be one in the near future (and I'll blog about it)
Z
Jan,
Been preparing for this marathon but I guess I over exerted a bit. My body crashed and needed a tune up. Well, I'm back now and I'm ready to jump in the race once again.
Z
Gem,
How did you know?
Z
Jen,
A stubborn patient multiplied to infinity. Good thing some rest and a lot of water did the trick.
Z
Holly,
Thanks! I had several trips to the bathroom, of course I was half awake most of the time, but I made it to the bowl. eehe
Z
Robin,
I'm feeling great now! Thanks for sending the html, will try to use them here and thank you for the compliment.
Z
I remember writing a poem like this about my stomach pains last year, its gruesome and I feel your malaise
Those were the days man. Too tired to move, but I couldn't help not make a poem.
Thanks Justin!
Z
