A fourteen hour bus ride to the North,
triggered a spark of emotions.
This two way journey of sorts,
a destiny of romantic equations.

There never was a perfect sync,
this lock and key posessed.
A mild rumor of a witty sarcastic,
and a Marian heart of dainty finesse.

An intangible gift these two hearts reason,
for unending talks over beach mornings.
Waiting for the sunrise over the horizon,
side by side with sands on their feet – touching.

Their generous hearts painted true,
with colors decorated by a romantic.
This ending on an altar witnessed cue,
a dreamy scene some may call magic.

Congratulations to my good friends Rosalie and Alvin. May you have a wonderful married life and thank you for the lifetime of friendship.

How cool is that? A poem for a toast.
Like during the time of Shakespeare. :D woot!

  3. Anne says:

I do think you are the romantic. How sweet and wonderful a gift of words such as these ~ for two people to cherish along with one another. {sigh} Now I’m feeling all sappy. :)

  4. Zorline, you are SCARY talented. Have you ever submitted your poetry to a publisher? Your stuff is like 10,000 times better than a lot of stuff I’ve come across in poetry books. I’m no poetry expert, but I know talent when I see it – and your words have the ability to touch people. You choose your words well.

Hey man, long time no see. I have been extremely busy with college and all. Just wanted to say that I am really digging the new layout and all. One thing I might add, a contact me page up at the top might help you a bit. Just an idea.

As for the Poem, great job man. It looks really good. Sorry for not giving you any advice on possibly improving it, but I am exhausted lol. Anyway, hopefully I will see you again since I am thinking of picking up blogging again soon. Take care

    Hi Rey,

I was rushed to read the poem when it happened. The bride and groom already took a sip of champagne before I started talking. Weird, huh?

Anyway, it was a different moment for me to read a poem in front of a hundred strangers and friends.

    Heather,

The email add for my blogs are different from the one I’ve been using and I just came across the comments when I decided to finally visit my own blogs LOL.

Thank you for the kind words, I am going to collaborate with someone to ask for help how to publish my poems.

    Anne,

That is a big yes! I am a romantic in this day and age. I might be the last of my kind. LOL

Oh, shucks, here is a tissue for the sappiness.

Perhaps you should have sipped champagne, too. To get you going right away. :) A poem for a toast. That’s nice. Thanks for the poem. Enjoyed it very much.

Your romantic poems always create a lump in my throat; prod me to cogitate what may have prompted you to write that piece. I’m glad I know who this poem’s for.

    Izzy!

Good to hear from you on my site. How is the college life? You still have my e-mail, right? Oh yeah, I still haven’t added a lot of stuff on my blog and I am open for suggestions.

Take care man and enjoy the teen life. BTW, are you still eighteen?

    Jena,

I had to recite this poem in front of friends and strangers, I had a tough time holding my phone since I stored the poem there.
