Avatar Movie Poetry Tribute
1219200909471012
Awoken from a blank mind,
this new body moved.
Through the eyes of an alien life form,
space science fiction – involved.
Planet life was tough,
for a warrior in hell training.
Yet hurdles surpassed, recognition found
in a new tribe in waiting.
Diplomacy versus brawn,
where planet life was set off balance.
Alien evidence was needed no more,
for all around there was alien existence.
A planet alien intervened,
for each life taken a life restored.
This fragile balance of space fiction
planted seeds on ground – adored.
A love short story,
moved unheard of reactions.
On a screen where 3D life space
influenced a raw nerve in cinematic faction.

Well done, Doc Z! I just read Justin’s review of Avatar & that reminded me of how I’ve been wanting to see it. Now you’re teasing me into it even more! I’ll probably have to wait for the DVD, though.
I haven’t asked you again if you have seen the movie yet or not… So, have you?
Ah.. watching it on DVD is a cool option too. At least you can pause it anytime you want (for bathroom breaks)
Z
Now, I want to watch this. I’m a sci-fi fanatic too.
Jena,
I know you like Sci fi too.

Love the poem based on the movie, you did a good job summing up the movie into the poem. The love story in the film fast one of the best elements, how the savage, fierce princess Neytiri fell in love with Jake Sully, a human learning their ways was magical.
I can’t agree with you more Justin, the movie gave me goosebumps whenever I see new scenes that were lifted from James Cameron’s imagination. I just wish that the Nanowrimo entry I made would eventually reach widescreen phenomena hehehe.
Z
This is RANKED 1 at google search…Wow! …he he he…nice one. Zorlone. way to go!
Haven’t seen the movie yet bro, but I guess because of your poem, it is now must for me…
SEO poem ah, LOL Tindi!
Bro,
Have you seen it bro? You will enjoy it, I am sure about that.
Z
when i saw the trailer, i thought it was just another non-sense sci-fi movie. i dont know, but i just dont like the trailer. i was just not moved to watch it. but i love james cameron’s films. but because everyone’s saying this movie is good, i really should watch this.
Thanks Cheese,
Please let me know if you enjoyed the movie or not.
Z
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a movie review done as poetry, Doc. If you say it’s worth seeing, I’m like Elmot – it’s just gone up on my movies-to-see list.
Yes, please please watch the movie. it would be more fun if we could all go see the movie together. Do let me know what you think as soon as you see it.
Z
I’m going to have to look for this in the 3D version. Is there a 3D Imax version, I wonder? I think I’ve just found something to do with my days off next week! Although William’s still protesting their use of the name “Avatar” as misleading, since it has nothing to do with the anime. I may have to go by myself.
I noticed that Sire’s linked to this post; I followed his hand-crafted links from the delightful Journey to Bloggersville post.
Holly,
Please tell William that those were my first thoughts too. Being a fan of Nick’s Avatar the Last Airbender, I made some protests too, silent at that, I wanted the movie to be the one I watch every week at Nick, but it wont be shown until next year.
But as it turned out I enjoyed this movie a lot.
Z
I’ve yet to see it Doc, but my brother says it’s fantastic, and now that I’ve read the poem the urge to see it is even greater.
Holly, thanks for introducing me to those sexy hand crafted links.
Sire,
If I was only able to entice at three souls to watch the movie from this poem, I’d be delighted and consider that mission accomplished. Cool links… going there now.

Of course there is Zorlone who is well known for his wondrous cures as the city’s doctor, but I have heard that he would rather be a bard and poet, and that he frequents the bars telling far fetched stories of alien worlds where there exists the mystical Avatar.
