A poetic tribute to the longest suspension bridge in the world
1212200918151819

Steel lattice on a giant bridge,
crossing the salt water of Kobe.
A unifying dream that islands meet,
hovering on advanced technology.

Robot machine eyes that watch,
no random misbehavior missed.
The towering posts astride,
with cables that never touched, never kissed.

Minds assembled on its feet,
arching a doorway to grandeur.
plans designed with surgical precision,
A builder’s ambition to outlive – endure.

Pretty good Doc. You sure have a talent for poems. How do you decide on any particular subject?

  3. Zorlone says:

    Sire,

I saw an episode on discovery channel about how this bridge was built, so I started typing in my phone and edited it later.

Geez, I can’t answer your question, sometimes the idea hits me doing even the most benign things, like watching TV.

  5. Zorlone says:

    Mr. Cheesy,

There are robots that monitor the bridge and cleans the beams as they patrol. It is seen in Japan.

Thank you! I am a certified couch potato on weeknights and inspiration strikes me while watching my favorite TV shows/documentaries.
